The Philadelphia Mint, the Carson City Mint, the San Francisco Mint and the New Orleans Mint were the original four mints to produce the Morgan. Although each mint produced the same designed coin, each mint also offered the series it individuality. While the Morgan silver dollar was in production, the New Orleans Mint was able to stay in business since it relied on the Morgan silver dollar production. Unfortunately, the Morgan's production ceased in 1904 and the New Orleans Mint was decommissioned shortly after. The Old Mint has been deemed one of the oldest structures still standing in the US, and is officially a US landmark. Your 1892-O Morgan is considered to be in fine condition, with extreme wear present around Lady Liberty's portrait and the eagle. Since there is so much wear on the coin, its entire surface is smooth and lacking The mint mark "O" is underneath the eagle, on the reverse, to represent the Old Mint.
