Learning about the history of currency can help a collector understand the value of the coin they are collecting. The Morgan was in production from 1878-1904. It was the first silver dollar to be minted after the Seated Liberty dollar. The government tried to regulate the silver production by passing laws that gave the US Mint amounts and deadlines that needed to be met. After 1904, the Morgan was reauthorized for production for one more year but fell victim to an up and coming silver dollar, the Peace dollar. Your 1891-O Morgan was minted in New Orleans and carries the "O" mint-mark on the reverse. The New Orleans Mint is no longer in production but stands proud as one of the oldest US landmarks. This coin has been deemed to be in fine condition, with noticeable amounts of wear to be expected on the coin, creating a smooth surface.
