The Eisenhower dollar series is a must for novice collectors, with a low price and readily available products. Buying in bulk is a great way to collect the Eisenhower Dollars, especially if you give them as gifts. Secured in a plastic tube of 20, the 1976 Type 2 dollars contain the fancier lettering on its reverse. There is no Eisenhower dollar marked with the date of 1975, since the US Mint took that year to make millions of the bicentennial 1976 dollars. The die of the Eisenhower dollar was changed mid year, causing the earlier issues to fall under the Type I category and the later minted ones to be in the Type II. Both types contain the same reverse design: a moon placed over the Liberty Bell. In 1976, there were two types of Eisenhower dollars minted, that have very few differences. The Type I Eisenhower dollars contains a bold, block lettering on the reverse, while the Type II Eisenhower dollars reveal a fancier and more elegant font.
