The Eisenhower dollar collection does not represent high numismatic value but it is definitely a popular series among collectors! The 1976-D Type 1 Eisenhower Dollar roll comes packaged in a tube of 20 coins, each considered to be in brilliant uncirculated condition. The Denver Mint has earned its reputation for over one hundred years of striking coins. Usually used as the "back-up" mint, the Denver Mint has made its way to the forefront of the coin world and is claimed to be lead coin producer worldwide. In 1976, the US Mint surprised coin collectors by issuing a special bicentennial coin. This coin is split into two types: a Type 1 and a Type II, and the other difference is the reverse lettering. Type I dollars contain a less-formal, bolder lettering, while the Type II exhibit a fancier and more appealing font. The 1976-D Type I Eisenhower dollar is in brilliant uncirculated condition, and has the moon over the Liberty Bell design on its reverse.
