The 2011 Canadian Silver Wolf is the first design in the Canadian Wildlife Series and was issued in September 2010The Royal Canadian Mint is responsible for the magnificently surprising collection, the Wildlife series, and the popularity surrounding this series. The Wildlife series invoked a creative thought, at the RCM, to start minting smaller coin collections, instead of the 30 year old Silver Maple Leaf series. RCM decided that the Wildlife series would be comprised of 6 endangered species' designs and two designs would be minted a year. The RCM would also only mint 1,000,000 at a time, to add an extra appeal to collectors. The response for these coins was better than RCM could have ever imagined. The Wildlife series still remains one of their top collections sold and the popularity only continues to grow.
Since the silver Wolf was the first coin to be minted, in this series, it is also the hardest to find. This Silver Wolf resembles a proof coin, with its sparkling detail and finish but is actually in brilliant uncirculated condition. This side of the coin is also stamped with the guarantee this coin is one ounce of .9999 pure silver. The Wildlife series is offered in individually or tubes of 25 for bulk orders. We delicately package your coin in a coin protectant for safe travel.
