Coins may have whats known as milk spots or white spots on them. These coins are from original mint rolls. The Royal Canadian Mint never ceases to amaze investors, collectors, and private mints world-wide with their production creativity. Whether it's including radial lines on their coins to prevent counterfeiting or a privy mark as a signature, the coin world never stops watching the RCM and what it's going to do next. Another way the Royal Canadian Mint has turned heads is by their random, smaller coin series. All collectors and investors are more than aware of their yearly Maple Leaf silver dollar that is produced. But with the design never changing, it's a more predictable series for the RCM. To try to keep collectors on their toes, the RCM started these smaller coin series that are limited edition and have a foreseeable end, instead of being produced for 30 years and still going strong. Their Wildlife series not only turned heads, but also had a very surprising response from the coin world. At only 1 million coins minted per design, 2 a year for 6 years, dealers and mints couldn't sell this series fast enough!
The 2011 Canadian Silver Grizzly Bear is the second design to be released in January 2011. This .9999 pure silver coin is guaranteed to weigh one ounce of silver and is in brilliant uncirculated condition, although the strike is more proof-like. The RCM is known for containing "milky spots" on their coins, due to a poor rinsing of the coins after being cleaned. The milky spots don't take away from the coin's overall value and the coin itself is still considered to be in BU condition. The design on this coin is of a territorial Grizzly, standing in an aggressive stance, at the base of a few snow-capped mountains.
