The Uncirculated Presidential Dollar sets are a popular and smaller collection for collectors to follow through with. Plus, the prestigious packaging allows for collectors to keep an organized and beautiful collection without having to do all of the work. Minted with the copper core and manganese brass finish that lends to the golden color, the Presidential Dollars are only minted for collection purposes. Since 2007, the Presidential Dollars are minted by the Philadelphia and Denver mints, and are representative of each president that held office in chronological order. The Presidential Dollars are often sold in rolls of 25, since breaking the rolls can be costly. Having these dollars in nice sets allows for collectors to buy them without having to invest in the whole roll.
The 2008 Presidential $1 Coin Uncirculated Set contains all of the Presidential Dollar coins issued in 2008, the second year of production of the Presidential Dollars. The presidents, on these coins, include James Monroe, John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson, and Martin Van Buren. Alongside the four famous presidents, are biographical sketches and portraits, as well as the mint each coin came from. The coins are delicately placed in rotatable blisters, making the coin designs easily displayed. The dollars can also be removed from this folder to be placed into collection albums. The obverse, of each coin, displays the past president, along with their name and date of mintage. The reverse features the generic saying, "E Pluribus Unum" and "In God We Trust," and the mint-mark, P or D. The 2008 Presidential $1 Coin Uncirculated Set is the second set to be minted in the popular series and a hot commodity for collectors.
