The Presidential Dollars were first minted in 2007 and are often sold in rolls of 25, since breaking the rolls can be costly. The 2009 Presidential $1 Coin Uncirculated Set. Following the popular footsteps of the Sacagawea Dollar series, the Presidential Dollar series was also minted with a copper core and a manganese brass coating, causing the irresistible golden tone. The Presidential Dollars are minted by the Philadelphia and Denver mints, and are representative of each president that held office in chronological order. In 2011, the US Mint again decided to only mint these dollars for collectors so the mintage was decreased, compared to years past.
The 2009 Presidential $1 Coin Uncirculated Set is difficult to locate, since its mintage is much lower than previous US Dollars, such as the Sacagawea or Susan B. Anthony Dollars. The 2009 Presidential $1 Coin Uncirculated Set is part of a larger collection, helping collectors obtain these beauties without having to invest in an entire roll for just one coin. This collection is ideal for beginner collectors, history lovers, or anyone looking to have a fun and easy collection to look forward to. The set comes in an appropriate folder, with rotatable blisters, making it easy to remove the coins if need be. Each Presidential Dollar coin has a vignette biography of the president it represents. The obverse pictures the president, with his name and date of mintage engraved. The reverse displays the infamous saying, "E Pluribus Enum," and the mint-mark. Collectors can use this set to complete a collection or they can enjoy the historical important the folder entails.
