Portraying the famous social reformer on the obverse, the Susan B. Anthony Dollar is the first US coin to portray a female other than Lady Liberty. From a young age, Susan B. Anthony became very active in social movements, such as antislavery and women's rights. Growing up in a Quaker family, Anthony was raised to believe in social equality for all. The San Francisco Mint has seen the finished product of many highly collectible series, such as the Morgan and Peace silver dollars, the $20 Liberty and Saint-Gaudens double eagles, etc. The Susan B. Anthony collection doesn't measure up to those incredible collections but it is still a great collection to start for the novice collector! Collectors enjoy buying this coin in bulk and giving it for special occasions throughout the year. The 1981-S Susan B. Anthony Dollar Roll contains 20 coins that are all in pristine brilliant uncirculated condition.
