It is hard to figure out where to start, when you want to be a coin collector. Between mintages, premiums, and availability, it can seem daunting to begin a coin collection. That is why US Dollar collections are the most fun and achievable collections to begin. The Sacagawea Dollar was inspired by the independently brave Shoshone Indian, who single-handedly led the Lewis and Clark Expedition safely across unchartered territory. Sacagawea helped guide the two from North Dakota to the Pacific Coast, making cultural connections as they went. Apart from history books, Sacagawea has also been used as a symbol of feminism and the women's rights movements, especially in the early 1900's. The 2007-S Sacagawea Dollar is in proof condition, absent of scratching or wearing. Sacagawea is on the obverse, along with the coin's date and place of mintage. This would be the second to last year the US Mint would use the reverse design of the eagle.
