It is well documented that coin collectors and investors, who have been in the precious metals industry for a while now, enjoy giving silver bullion as gifts to loved ones. Not only is it a tradition that extends to centuries ago, it is also a way to give a gift that will last. The Proof Silver Eagles are highly sought after, for this purpose, because of the elegant proof finish, the outstanding packaging, and the comfort of investing in an ounce of silver. The recipient of your silver gift is not only given the gift of investment, they also have a tangible piece of silver to show for it; that, in itself, is a gift.
Your 2001-W Proof Silver Eagle is finished with the finest strike a proof-finished coin has ever seen! Your coin glimmers with a "freshly struck" patina that has literally stood the test of time. Since your coin was minted at the West Point sector of the US Mint, the "W" mintmark is featured on your coin. Your coin also comes packaged in its the original mint packaging, including it's COA.

-Obverse: The obverse design was inspired by Adolph A. Weinman's famous design on the Walking Liberty half dollar from 1916-1947. The Walking Liberty design was chosen, due to its popularity by being the most popular image on a US coin in coinage history. This iconic image graces the obverse of every American Silver Eagle; Lady Liberty is delicately draped in a loose fitting dress as she holds dearly some branches in her arm and the US flag over her shoulders. "Liberty," "In God We Trust," and the date of mintage are stamped on the obverse as well.
-Reverse: The reverse reveals the US Seal: a large eagle with outstretched wings, talons holding branches and arrows, and a shield to protect its chest.
