Many fans of the American Silver Eagle love the design that represents so much of what the US stands for. Lady Liberty is the main attraction on each silver eagle, gracefully walking along a beautiful sunrise. But this isn't the first time the US has seen this design of Lady Liberty. The Walking Liberty half-dollar, which was in circulation from 1916-1947, contained the simplistic yet symbolic design of Liberty. Adolph A. Weinman is the talented sculptor responsible for the outstanding design of the Lady and many other designs that have been a solid part in US history. Another familiar design of Weinman's is the Mercury dime, which was also in circulation the same time as the Walking Liberty half-dollar. The Proof American Silver Eagles not only showcase Lady Liberty on the obverse of its coins but she is elevated by the outstanding proof finish of these coins.
Your 1991 Proof American Silver Eagle comes encapsulated to protect that precious proof finish and is then placed in a velvet mint box. That box is placed in a cardboard box that displays the US Mint's insignia. The "S" mint-mark, that proves it was minted at the US Mint in San Francisco is also stamped on your coin. Become a holder of US history in the palm of your hand with the Proof Silver Eagle series. Your collection will thank you for it!

-Obverse: Lady Liberty is elegant and powerful on the obverse of this coin. "Liberty," "In God We Trust," and the coin's date of mintage are also included on the obverse with the Lady.
-Reverse: The US National Seal is illustrated on the back of the coin, since the silver eagles are considered official US currency. The reverse bears the coin's weight and purity as well.
