Peace Silver Dollar Almost Uncirculated 1921

Coined in the very first mint facility, in the US, the 1921 Peace silver dollar started a new series in the silver dollar arena. When the Pittman Act of 1918 was passed, the US Mint was required to produce millions of silver dollars until 1928. Having the Morgan silver dollar design ready to go, it was a no brainer as far as which design to use. But numismatists strongly desired to change the design, of the silver dollar, to one that reflected the peace acquired from World War I. The Peace dollar was the first silver dollar to memorialize peace in the US. Your 1921 Peace silver dollar is in almost uncirculated condition, exhibiting most of its original mint luster, and revealing slight wear on Lady Liberty and the eagle on the reverse. Although this coin is considered a common date dollar, owning a higher grade, such as AU or BU, isn't as common.
