Only 330,000 Morgans were minted in 1899, making this year a highly popular year to find among coin collectors. Due to the Coinage Act of 1873, the Morgans were the first standard dollar to be minted after the Seated Liberty dollar. Lady Liberty has always graced the obverse of every silver dollar and continues to do so on the Morgans, with her lovely side profile highlighted. The famous Latin phrase, "E Pluribus Unum," is inscribed around her head. The reverse reveals a large eagle with the words, "In God We Trust," written above his head. Your 1899 Morgan silver dollar was minted in Philadelphia and does not carry a mint mark. It contains 90% silver, 10% copper, and weighs approximately 26.73 grams. Its diameter is 38.1 millimeters and is considered to be in brilliant uncirculated condition. We packaged your rare and precious Morgan into a coin flip that protects its beautiful BU luster while in transit.
