Being one of the most collected and famous silver dollars, the Morgan had a rough run as the US silver dollar. Between acts trying to control the silver coin production then getting repealed, the Morgan was authorized to be minted in 1878 to 1904. The Morgan's last year, 1921, was uneventful wherein an unlimited amount of Morgans were minted but the release of the new Peace dollar was also introduced. The last of the old government reserves of silver were used to finish out the production of the beloved Morgan. Morgans are over one hundred years old and even the more circulated ones are still in great condition. Your 1884-O Morgan was minted in New Orleans and its brilliant uncirculated grade is close to a MS63. The luster of the coin should shine from one side of Lady Liberty to the other.
