Morgan grew up learning the art of engraving coins in England before he moved his talents to the US. Morgan worked under a familiar name, William Barber, when he designed the Morgan Silver dollar. Morgan was also responsible for other coin's designs, such as the Columbian Exposition half dollar. But the Morgan was what he became famous for.
