Eisenhower Dollar Roll (20 Coins) 1973-D BU

Predicted to become an American novelty, like the Morgan silver dollar, the Eisenhower dollar's popularity wasn't what the US Mint expected. The Morgan wasn't very popular, when it was being produced, but gained its heavy following many years after. Collectors are still hopeful this will be the same fate for the Eisenhower Dollar. Until then, children and novice collectors will continue to enjoy the availability and low premiums of the Eisenhower collection. When the price of silver dramatically increased, in 1965, the US Mint was required to stop using 90% silver in all of its coins and save the silver for just the collectible items. Only the Eisenhower dollars minted at the San Francisco Mint have the 40% silver. The 1973-D Eisenhower Dollar Roll contains 20 coins, packaged in a tube, which all contain the "D" mint-mark and are in brilliant uncirculated condition.
