Following Mexico's lead of the silver Libertad, the US desired to mint their own silver coin that carried an actual legal tender value, which would be backed by the US government. Coin collectors were ecstatic to see a beautifully struck coin that also contain an intrinsic value. When the Proof Silver Eagle followed shortly after, collectors were in awe of this newly minted coin with a mirrored finish. Although the lovely matte finish, of the Brilliant Uncirculated eagles, is hard to beat and the unlimited amount minted yearly is easy to obtain, the Proof Silver Eagles are usually overlooked. Since the finishing process, of the proof coins, takes longer and is more expensive, Proof Silver Eagles are sold for a higher bid and also contain very limited mintages.
Your Certified Proof Silver Eagle PF69 1990 is backed by the US government and glistens from the flawless gloss of the proof finish. Your coin has earned the high grade of PF69, by NGC, the most reputable grading agency in the US.

-Obverse: The Lady Liberty graces the obverse of your coin, robed in a loose-fitting toga that is reminiscent of ancient Grecian times. The Lady's hair is pulled back underneath a cap, like ancient soldiers used to do. One arm is extended and inviting, while the other is bearing the weight of a loose bundle of branches. The rising sun is coming up behind her, to offer new hope with a new day. "Liberty" is etched in a large font above the Lady's head with the date of mintage below her sandaled feet.
-Reverse: The reverse illustrates the US Coat of Arms, which contains a large eagle protected by a shield. There are 13 stars above the eagle's head to represent the original 13 colonies.
