Claimed to be the largest producer of coins worldwide, the Denver Mint didn't begin its journey, as a mint, that way. With only five dates bearing the "D" mint-mark, the 1934-D Peace Silver dollar is a highly popular and highly collectible coin. Compared to the other US Mint branches, the Denver Mint was young when it started producing silver dollars. Only established in 1906, the Denver Mint mainly focused on commemorative coins. In 1921, the Denver joined forces with its sister branches to help produce the Morgan silver dollar, that was soon changed to the Peace silver dollar. Since the Denver Mint didn't produce a Peace dollar each year of mintage, collectors put any silver dollar with a "D" mint-mark at the top of their collecting list. Your Certified 1934-D Peace silver dollar has been graded by one of the top grading companies, in the US, PCGS, and has earned the grade of MS63. PCGS is revered for its impeccably consistent grading techniques and sleek packaging.
