The 1900-O Morgan silver dollar was minted in a large quantity, making its condition vary for every collector's tastes. This Morgan is also one of the last few to be minted by the Old Mint, since it closed its doors shortly after the Morgan stopped production. Experienced Morgan collectors enjoy upgrading their raw coins to certified beauties. This not only aesthetically improves the collection but it also increases the individual numismatic value of the coins. The New Orleans Mint, also known as the Old Mint, minted the Morgan until its last year of production in 1904. Although its doors officially closed as a mint in 1909, it was used as an assay office, storage facility, and a fallout shelter, in its career. The Old Mint still proudly stands as one of the oldest historical US landmarks. This coin has earned the ideal grade of MS64, which is brilliantly uncirculated, by NGC.
