Susan B Anthony Dollar 1999-D BU

In 1997, Congress authorized a bill, allowing for the mintage of the new Sacagawea Dollar. For the first time, in 80 years, the US Mint couldn't make enough dollars to meet the demand. To fill in a year gap, a 1999 Susan B. Anthony Dollar was produced, since the design was ready to go. This would make the Susan B. Anthony series a 4-coin collection, instead of three. The Denver Mint participated, in the minting of the Susan B. Anthony Dollar, honoring the famous social reformer. Anthony dedicated her life to social activism, playing key roles in the antislavery and women's suffrage movements. The 1999-D Susan B. Anthony Dollar carries the "D" mint-mark and is in prime brilliant uncirculated condition. Although the Susan B. Anthony Dollar is much smaller and contains a different portrait on the obverse, it does share the same reverse design with the Eisenhower Dollar.
