The 2021-S Sacagawea Dollar carries the date and mint-mark on its rim and is in brilliant uncirculated condition. Over its 150 years of being a reputable branch for the US Mint, the San Francisco Mint has helped produce some of the most collectible coin collections in the world. Claimed as a result of the famous gold rushes, the San Francisco Mint was established to help turn mined gold into US currency. Although the Sacagawea Dollar looks golden, its is comprised of a copper-nickel alloy with the natural color of the copper shining through. The obverse features the famous Native American, while the reverse portrays a younger Sacagawea with her father. The reverse honors the Native Americans - Distinguished Military Service Since 1775. This thoughtful design contains 2 feathers and 5 stars and is paying homage to those heroes.
