The San Francisco Mint helps produce the Presidential Dollar series. The Presidential Dollars John Quincy Adams 2008-S Proof is in pristine proof condition and will be packaged in a coin flip. John Quincy Adams was also a product of the Founding Fathers, born and raised by John and Abigail Adams. He spent his early childhood sailing overseas, accompanying his father to France on several occasions. Adams heard of the Declaration of Independence in letters his father wrote to his mother on a daily basis. John Quincy Adams is mainly remembered for his work overseas, connecting international relations by being the first US Minister in Russia.
The Presidential Dollar series was first minted in 2007, by the Philadelphia and Denver Mints. Every year, each mint designs four presidents for the obverse, using the chronological order of when the presidents were elected. John Quincy Adams is the 6th president of the US and his portrait is featured on the 2008-S Presidential Dollar, minted by the San Francisco Mint. Don Everhart is the mint-engraver who designed the Presidential series, depicting each president in his most youthful time period. The reverse reveals the Statue of Liberty, with the coin's legal tender value inscribed. The Presidential Dollars are comprised of a copper core and manganese brass, which gives the dollars their interesting golden tone. Not only is the Presidential Dollar series easy to obtain, it makes for the perfect collection starter for any novice collector.
