Harding, and became president after Harding's sudden death. Coolidge won the next presidential election on his own and is historically a favorite president. It has been said about his administration that he redeemed the White House and spoke directly for the middle class. Coolidge was a quiet man with no sense of humor but he was an efficient president that helped the country after a disappointing president.
