Abundant in all grades, the 1922 Peace silver dollar is the first year all three mints joined in to help with the minting of the dollars. Much gratitude to numismatists, who fought for the "peace" design on the silver dollar, the US government settled that goddess of Liberty would grace the obverse of the coin. Since the Peace dollar was the first US coin to commemorate peace, Lady Liberty is depicted as goddess of Liberty, with sunshine rays as a tiara. The Philadelphia mint produced plenty of the 1922 Peace dollars, leaving collectors a plentiful selection to choose from for years to come. Your 1922 Peace silver dollar was minted at the first ever mint facility in the US, and is in almost uncirculated condition. Collectors expect AU Peace dollars to still contain about 3/4 of their original mint luster but are not disappointed by the slight wear on Lady Liberty and the eagle.
