Ever since the minting mistakes of 1878, when the Morgan silver dollar first took off, these mishaps have been viewed as valuable to collectors. The 1900 O over CC is among the list of highly sought after "mistake" Morgans. Once the Carson City Mint went out of business in 1893, the "left-over" Morgans were sent to the Philadelphia mint. These Morgans originally carried the "CC" mint-mark but were filed off and replaced with the "O" mint-mark. These mistakes, on the Morgans, have only furthered the popularity of them in the coin collecting world. Although this coin is incredibly popular, it is still easy to find in a nice grade, unlike the other Morgans that have mistakes. Your 1900 O over CC is in very fine condition, with extreme wear on Lady Liberty's portrait, the cotton leaves, and the eagle on the reverse. This is the last faux pas the US Mint would make before the Morgan's production ceases in 1904.
