Minted in the Denver mint, your 1921-D Morgan carried the "D" mint-mark on the reverse of the coin. In fact, all mint-marks on Morgans can be determined by looking on the reverse and underneath the eagle's tail feathers. Your coin is also in brilliant uncirculated condition, as determined by one of our seasoned dealers and contains a luster that should shine from edge to edge.George T. Morgan was the talented assistant engraver at the US Mint when he designed the Morgan silver dollar. After nearly 40 years as assistant engraver, Morgan finally earned the title, Chief engraver in 1917. The mint mark "D" is underneath the eagle, on the reverse, and it represents the Denver branch of the US Mint. To protect your BU Morgan, we package all our coins in coin flips to ensure their protection during travel.
