Morgan Silver Dollar Almost Uncirculated 1895-O

Only 450,000 Morgans were released from the US Mint's New Orleans sector in 1895! This 1895-O is another rare gem that is deserving to be on any coin collector's bucket list. Although it would seem to be smooth sailing, there were a lot of bumps in the road for the government, during the minting of the Morgan. For a long time, many free lance miners would collect their silver and the US Mint would buy it from them individually. There was no record of how much silver was coming in and if any employees were taking the silver for themselves.
