The inaugural year for the Chinese Gold Panda is beautifully orchestrated in this 1/10th oz gold piece. The Chinese Gold Panda series started as a parallel series to the Chinese Silver Pandas and has become a highly sought after collection by collectors and investors. This series also does a couple things differently than other bullion collections, thus setting them further apart. Every year, the design on the reverse of the pandas changing, revealing another aspect of the panda lifestyle. By annually changing the design, it keeps collectors and investors intrigued in keeping a diverse collection. The 1982 1/10th oz Chinese Gold Panda is guaranteed to be 1/10th oz of .999 pure gold and displays the perfect BU finish.
A sweet lone panda is pictured on the reverse side of the 1982 coin. The coin's legal tender value is kindly stated underneath the pandas. The design on the obverse of the pandas is the real showstopper here. A magnificent portrayal of the Temple of Heaven, located in the heart of Beijing, is impeccably drawn to honor the religious structure that has been part of history since 1409. "The People's Republic of China," is written in Chinese symbols above the temple and the year that started it all is inscribed at the bottom of the coin.
