The first American Silver Eagle ever minted, the 1986 Silver Eagle is preserved in an official NGC holder for future investments. Following the lead of the Mexican Libertad, the US Mint desired to produce the first pure silver bullion coin in the US. Containing a legal tender that is backed by the US government, the American Silver Eagle offers collectors and investors a coin with numismatic value and one ounce of .999 pure silver. The American Silver Eagle is enough for any avid collector but upgrading your collection to the certified coins only increases the numismatic value of the coin. Many collectors and investors take comfort in their certified coin collection, knowing the coin's condition and validity are proven on the certified label.
Your Certified Uncirculated Silver Eagle 1986 MS69 has been graded by NGC, the top grading company in the US, and has earned the almost impeccable grade of MS69. Your coin shines with the flawless matte finish of a brilliant uncirculated coin that still looks "freshly minted" even though it's over 20 years old, thus earning its MS69 grade.
