The American Silver Eagle has long been admired and beloved for its role in the ever-growing precious metals industry. Since the first production, in 1986, collectors and investors have been able to enjoy this highly collectible gem. The US Mint resurrected the beloved Walking Liberty half dollar design to grace the obverse of every silver eagle ever made. Unlike other bullion coin collections, the American Silver Eagle stays true to tradition and doesn't change its design, front or back, ever. The popularity of this series only increases with every year, making the American Silver Eagle collection among the best of bullion series. Collectors have been investing in certified versions of the series they know and love. Certified silver eagles are considered highly numismatic and are perfect for the avid collector.
Your Certified Proof Silver Eagle 1986 PF70 NGC has been certified by the top grading agency in the country and is displayed in an official NGC holder. Minted at the infamous San Francisco Mint, it is no surprise this coin received the perfect grade of PF70. The reverse reveals the US Coat of Arms; an eagle with wings sprawled out containing the banner labeled with "E pluribus unum," across the feathers. A large shield is also protecting the eagle and each of the eagle's talons are holding something symbolic. The right one is holding an olive branch to represent peace while the left one is holding arrows to represent the original 13 colonies. The Lady Liberty walks gracefully across the obverse, with the rising sun encroaching behind her. The Lady's garb is a simple loose-fitting robe with an American flag draped over her narrow shoulders. The words, "Liberty," "In God We Trust," and the coin's date of mintage are also stamped on the obverse. Upgrading your collection to certified versions increases the numismatic value of your coins.
