Although it contains a high mintage, the 1925 Peace silver dollar is in high demand when found in gem condition. Like the Morgans, the BU Peace silver dollars were stored in canvas bags for many years, causing most of them to contain contact marks and/or bag marks. Even though bag marks don't affect the value of a BU dollar, it does affect the grade of which the coin can earn. Some common Mint State grades are from MS61-64, putting the headlights on the MS65 and higher grades as rare coins. Your Certified 1925 Peace silver dollar is considered a rare gem example, with an impressive grade of MS66! Since the MS66 grades are not seen frequently, collectors hold out until one comes along. NGC issued the coin's grade and has preserved it in an official NGC holder. Act now before supplies run out!
