For those interested in the Morgans, there is so much to admire and learn from its history. The Morgan was in production from 1878-1904. It was the first silver dollar to be minted after the Seated Liberty dollar. The government tried to regulate the silver production by passing laws that gave the US Mint amounts and deadlines that needed to be met. After 1904, the Morgan was reauthorized for production for one more year but fell victim to an up and coming silver dollar, the Peace dollar. Many Morgan collectors desire to upgrade their collection to certified coins. Not only does this increase the collection's numismatic value but it also is easier to organize and store. Your 1888-O Certified Morgan Silver Dollar is considered to be MS63, by NGC. NGC is internationally revered for their impeccable grading standards, along with their excellent packaging.
