This 1949-S Franklin Half Dollar was minted in San Francisco and graded MS65 by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). Designed by John R. Sinnock, the obverse features Benjamin Franklin's profile along with the motto "In God We Trust." The reverse displays the Liberty Bell, symbolizing freedom, alongside a small eagle to the right, required by law to feature an eagle on the design. This coin is part of the first full year of production for Franklin Half Dollars, introduced in 1948.
