The San Francisco Mint was established in 1854, as a means to help circulate the gold that was being mined. In just its first year of production, the San Francisco Mint had to expand to a second building nicknamed the Granite Lady. Surviving the tragic earthquake of 1906, the Granite Lady was viewed as a strong and impossible building with only its basement made out of granite. The San Francisco Mint had plenty of time to practice how to perfect the production of a coin. Your Certified 1915-S $20 Saint-Gaudens double eagle is a common date and is abundantly available in most grades. The 1915-S double eagles are known to have a satiny luster and a bold strike, making their eye appeal alluring. Your coin has been graded by NGC and has received the Mint State grade of MS63.
