Carson City Morgan Silver Dollar 1884-CC GSA MS64 NGC

When looking for Morgans in GSA packaging, you will notice most of these Morgans carry a "CC" mint-mark. In the mid 1960's, many sealed bags, containing 3 million Morgans, were discovered by the government. All but 125,000 contained another mint-mark that wasn't "CC." The coins, in uncirculated condition, were placed into official GSA holders that are now a popular collectible item. Over the years, many of the GSA Morgans have been taken out of their holders, by collectors and dealers, to be sold separately. Only 1.1 million 1884-CC Morgans were minted, making them very difficult to find. Your 1884-CC is one of the Morgans recovered and placed into a GSA holder.
