Canada 2016 $20 Silver Coin-Little Creatures: Snail

This $20 coin is 99.99% pure silver, with a diameter of 38 millimeters and a nominal metal weight of 31.39 grams. The reverse design by Canadian artist Maurice Gervais uses colour over engraving to recreate the leaves and branch of a mountain maple (Acer spicatum), upon which rests a snail made of a Venetian glass element that is handcrafted by master glassmaker Giuliano Donaggio of Murano, Italy. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth Il by Susanna Blunt.
