The date "1873" is centered at the bottom. Reverse (Back) Details: Displays a heraldic eagle with outstretched wings, holding arrows and an olive branch. A shield is placed at the center of the eagle’s chest. The inscription "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" arches above the eagle. The denomination "2½ D." is written at the bottom.
