The 2018-P 5 oz Silver ATB Cumberland Island National Seashore is a part of the series for 2018. Each year, the US Mint puts out 5 ATB 5oz coins, honoring the nation's historical monuments, parks, and landmarks. This series is though to take 11 years to complete, with 56 coins finished in the end. Coin collectors will recognize this series, since it is the larger version of the Quarter National Parks proof set series. More and more collectors are jumping on the ATB 5oz silver coin bandwagon so finding the years is becoming more difficult, especially since limited amounts are produced.
Cumberland Island is located off of the Georgia's coast, where it is home to loggerhead turtles, feral horses, and the remains of Thomas Carnegie's mansion, brother and partner to the Andrew Carnegie. It also contains the very first, one room African Baptist Church. Those who visit experience a calm and peace as they enjoy the island's beautiful landscape.
