2016-P Fort Moultrie (SC) Uncirculated Quarter

The 2016-P Fort Moultrie (SC) ATB Quarter showcases a fort very close to the famous Fort Sumter that often gets overlooked. Fort Moultrie is a compilation of fortifications, located in Sullivan's Island, SC. Its name used to be Fort Sullivan and was built from palmetto logs. This would later inspire the state's nickname: The Palmetto State. Fort Moultrie is the only place, in the National Parks system, that the entire 171 year history of American seacoast defense can be tracked.
