The 2014-S Arches (UT) Uncirculated Quarter showcases a National Park made up of stone. The Arches National Park exhibits over 2,000 natural sandstone formations and lays on top of a salt bed, which is the cause of the formations. This park became an actual National Park in 1929 but was rededicated in 1971. Most visitors to the park are there for the amazing formations but also for its endless hiking and camping. Climbing on the actual rocks is not allowed but there are areas you can climb more than others. Since the park is far away from civilization, many use the opportunity to stargaze once the sun goes down.
