The US Mint produced a limited amount of special sets in 2012, resulting in a product that never stays in our inventory. Between the proof sets, silver proof sets, and uncirculated coin sets, collectors have found it extremely difficult to reasonably find these treasures. Following the popular footsteps of the Sacagawea Dollar series, the Presidential Dollar series was also minted with a copper core, causing the irresistible golden tone. Since 2007, the Presidential Dollars are minted by the Philadelphia and Denver mints, and are representative of each president that held office in chronological order. The Presidential Dollars are often sold in rolls of 25, since breaking the rolls can be costly. The 2012 Presidential $1 Coin Uncirculated Set allows collectors the ability to obtain these dollars without having to invest in a whole roll.
The 2012 Presidential $1 Coin Uncirculated Set contains all of the Presidential Dollar coins issued in 2012. The presidents, on these coins, include Chester Arthur, Grover Cleveland (first term), Benjamin Harrison, and Grover Cleveland (second term). Alongside the four famous presidents, are biographical sketches and portraits, as well as the mint each coin came from. The coins are delicately placed in a folder, the coins' designs easily displayed. The dollars can also be removed from this folder to be placed into collection albums. The obverse, of each coin, displays the past president, along with their name and date of mintage. The reverse features the generic "E Pluribus Unum" saying and the mint-mark, P or D. For size references, the Presidential Dollars are identical in size, weight, and metal content as the Native American $1 coins. The 2012 Presidential $1 Coin Uncirculated Set is now considered a rarity in the coin collecting world and disappears as soon as one enters our inventory.
