Barber Half Dollars Almost Uncirculated
The Barber design was named after the US Mint's Chief Engraver, William Barber. The coins were in circulation from 1892-1916, but the half dollar wasn't minted the last couple of years before the series ended. Today, collectors are able to enjoy the Barber Half Dollar in any condition from BU to Good. The Almost Uncirculated Barber Half Dollars are the second best, following the Brilliant Uncirculated. Almost Uncirculated Barber Half Dollars contain intricate details that are still intact, such as the heraldic eagle's feathering or the leaves on Liberty's headpiece. Although some AU Barber Halves may contain a very slight amount of wear, most are often confused for BU coins. For the AU Barber Half Dollars, our grading scale mainly ranges from AU50-AU55 but a higher grade can always make it into your order if it's available.
